ptVacations of 4 monthes at INSERM
Le partenaire français du projet DIOMED financé par INTERREG IVB recherche un jeune diplomé disponible fin 2011 / début 2012 pour des vacations de 4 mois. Les vacations consistent en une activité de recherche niveau technicien au sein de l'équipe 3 de l'INSERM U1048 / I2MC. Le sujet des recherches porte sur le traitement /la prévention de maladies métaboliques comme le diabète et l'obésité en insistant sur la physiologie du tissu adipeux. Il s'agira de participer à des investigations à mener, qui sont:
- Mesure de la production d'H2O2 par des molécules connues dans banques (ex Prestwick) ou de nouveaux agents susceptibles d'interagir avec la SSAO et la MAO, deux amines oxydases differentes, abondantes dans les cellules adipeuses
- Transport du glucose avec ces mêmes molecules sur adipocytes de souris ou humains provenant de restes opératoires de la chirurgie réparatrice du CHU Rangueil
- Mesure de la lipolyse, lipogenese sur cellules adipeuses
- Traitements chroniques par certaines de ces molecules de préadipocytes en culture
- Traitements chroniques par certaines de ces molecules de souris diabétiques, obèses ou non. Les vacations inserm sont payées en fonction des grilles officielles de salaire de l'organisme francais INSERM.

L’obésité et le diabète sont de sérieux problèmes dans les pays développés. La mise au point de medicaments qui pourrait normaliser une altération de métabolisme énergétique est donc une nécessité actuelle. L’amine oxydase sensible au semicarbazide (SSAO) semble une cible d’interêt. Cette enzyme oxyde les amines primaires. La SSAO est fortement exprimée dans le tissu adipeux blanc et dans les vaisseaux. Le réseau intitulé “Potential role of mediterranean diet components in the treatments of obesity, hyperlipidaemia and diabetes” s'est donné pour but d’échanger les compétences des équipes de Recherche en Nutrition et Métabolisme travaillant de part et d’autre des Pyrénées sur des maladies métaboliques en constante progression : l’Obésité et le Diabète et leurs complications. DIOMED Consortium Meeting, 20 November, 2009, Barcelona
In the first progress meeting, have been discussed scientific and technical aspects related to the progres of the project.
Discussions have mainly been focused on progress made on GT 2 - "Continous surveillance of needs and opportunities, GT 3 - "Development of technology tools to support the discovery, development and licensing of drugs for the treatment of diabetes and obesity" and GT 4 - "Identification of active compounds for the treatment of obesity and diabetes with the licensing potential". All the partners gave their inputs.
Next progress meeting will be scheduled within 6 months.
